About Lisa McCoy
I have a home-based business in which I do repairs to all types of wicker chairs old and new!
I have been doing wicker repairs for 30 years.
I can offer traditional seat weaving in cane, rush, splint and reed.I can duplicate all patterns from Victorian spider-weave and blind caning, to the classic 6-way cane pattern.
All woven seats are stained and finished.
I can also repair/restore that priceless family heirloom wicker chair or baby bassinet. I can finish it to match or guide you in how to do that part yourself.
Over the years, I have demonstrated the craft at many juried Craft Shows including the Bala Cranberry Festival and the Penetanguishene/Midland Harvest tour.
I have led various seat-weaving workshops around Muskoka and have given one-on-one tutoring (Please see image to the left!).

Lisa and Ted Update
My new Wicker Repair Adventure!
This lovely antique miniature settee needed a new caned seat.
Who would have thought a little thing like this would take as long as it did, but, it's very fiddly work for sure.
Now, I stain and seal to match.
Ted is mastering a new traditional wicker weave.
He is giving this vintage porch chair a new back, then a new seat.It is done in the basket weave pattern.
Then, it will be stained and sealed.
